Mr. Spreadbury has 38 years of experience in investment banking and brokerage and is the firm’s FINRA Principal. Prior to forming Westbury Group in June 2004, Peter was a NASD Principal at WGS Capital. He had earlier served as the Director of Research for Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., and he was also involved in marketing the investment bank with major US institutional firms. Prior to joining Friedman Billings, Peter was the Head of the Equity Division of Credit Lyonnais Securities in New York with global responsibilities for the U.S. and Latin America and sales and trading of global products into the U.S. as well as running investment banking for the Americas. Peter has also served as Managing Director and Head of Sales & Strategy for New York-based UBS Securities as well as the National Marketing Manager and a member of the senior equity management team at Smith Barney, where he spent eleven years. He also sat on the capital commitment committee (investment banking) and was equity syndicate manager for institutional investors. Peter graduated from the City of London College in London, England, where he majored in Finance and Business Administration. He has been quoted in numerous business periodicals including Business Week, Forbes, and The London Financial Times on the subject of investment analysis or strategy.
